Maria Fiselier graduated in 2011 from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, with a distinction for ‘artistry and integrity in performing’ and will continue for her Master’s degree due in 2013. She will also be a member of the National Opera Studio in London for season 2012/2013.On the opera stage she performed the role of Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte and participated in Franz Lehar’s Die lustige Witwe with Het Gelders Orkest conducted by Martin Sieghart. Most recently she performed the role of Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring alongside Dame Felicity Lott at Aldeburgh Music. Other appearances include the role of Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen during a production of the DNO (Dutch Opera) called ‘Singing at DNO’ conducted by Martin Wright. In June 2012 she returned to sing Mercedes during the ‘Festival Classique’ in the Hague with the Hague Philharmonic and conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali. Further engagements include concerts of Alfred Schnittke’s Nagasaki with Het Haags Toonkunstkoor of The Netherlands conducted by Daan Admiraal.

De jonge Nederlandse mezzo-sopraan Maria Fiselier (1988) studeerde in 2011 af in Den Haag met een onderscheiding voor ‘Artistry and integrity in performing’. Momenteel is ze bezig aan haar masters degree in Den Haag die ze in 2013 zal behalen. Als uitwisseling zal ze in September ook beginnen aan de ´National Opera Studio´ in Londen.
Ze studeert bij Sasja Hunnego en kreeg masterclasses van Jard van Nes, Udo Reineman en Rudolf Jansen, maar ontving haar eerste zanglessen van haar vader, Bariton Frans Fiselier.
Maria won recentelijk de publieksprijs van het Grachtenfestival Conservatorium concours. Een nationale competitie voor jonge getalenteerde musici.

Op deze jonge leeftijd, heeft Maria Fiselier al een rijke podium en concert ervaring. Haar repertoire omvat verschillende oratoria zoals het Duruflé Requiem, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Le Roi David van Honegger en de Petite Messe Solennelle van Rossini. Op het opera podium heeft ze de rol van Dorabella vertolkt in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte en was ze te zien in Franz Lehar’s Die lustige Witwe met het Gelders Orkest onder leiding van Martin Sieghart.
In October 2011 vertolkte ze de rol van Nancy in Britten’s Albert Herring, een productie van Aldeburgh Music. Ze zong hierin samen met Dame Felicity Lott, gedirigeerd door Steuart Bedford. In April 2012 was ze te zien als Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen bij ‘De Nederlandse Opera’ in het project ‘Zingen bij DNO’ onder leiding van Martin Wright.
Tevens vertolkte ze deze rol tijdens festival Classique op de hofvijver in Den Haag met het Residentie Orkest.
