Georg Gädker, baritone

German baritone Georg Gädker undertook his musical studies in Freiburg, Mannheim and London with Rudolf Piernay, where he obtained his masters degree at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama with distinction. Having been masterclass-student of Thomas Hampson and Thomas Quasthoff (to name a few), Georg is laureate of various international singing competitions, including the German Music Competition, Brahms-Competition Pörtschach, “Musica Sacra” Rome, Queen-Elisabeth-Competition Brussels, Cantilena Bayreuth, as well as he was a scholar of the International Richard-Wagner-Society. Moreover, Georg was awarded second prize at the International Robert-Schumann-Competition Zwickau in June 2012.
In opera, his recent appearances were at opera houses such as Braunschweig, Leipzig, Mannheim, Rheinsberg and Frankfurt. Further, he is a regular guest at concert venues such as Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Cologne Philharmonic Hall, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Liederhalle Stuttgart or Wigmore Hall London, where he was heard in Lieder recitals as well as in all major oratorio roles of his voice. Several recordings were made (NDR, SWR, deutschlandradio and Radio France).
